Hi, my name is Samantha (Sam) Curd
I am an Illustrator specializing in publications, marketing, and advertisements. I have obtained my MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design in Illustration and gained teaching experience. My BFA was from Laguna College of Art and Design, where I focused on Visual Development and Character Design. I have an affinity for cute characters and creatures, highlighted by my vibrant color palettes. I have mentored under many talented Visual Development/Concept/Illustrators during my time at LCAD, SCAD, and a mentorship with Taylor Krahenbuhl through CGMA.
I regularly go out to live sketch, drawing inspiration from real people and animals. I aspire to bring joy to others through my designs, through laughability or relatability.
